2018: The Year In Review

This year has been a wild one..here’s a few of my adventures!

Let me add in my disclaimer, this year has been…rough. I went through a couple personal relationships that ended on some pretty tough circumstances. I struggled with staying afloat in my career (still am tbh). Had to learn how to ask myself to best way to go, when there were no friends around for help. My anxiety became so suffocating, my eating, sleeping and mental abilities flew out the window.

It was some difficult times…

And yes I know these may not sound that difficult, but you guys don’t know the whole story. I had to even pull away from social media altogether in order to help myself breathe. However, thank god I had God to keep me standing when everything felt like it was flooding my way. Despite my difficulties, I saw light even in the darkest of nights.

Visiting Governor’s Island:

BFF, “you should take a picture of me here” done and DONE.

Governor’s Island is a fav of mine, I literally go every summer. This time, I was able to bring my sister from another mister with me, and enjoyed a full day of bike riding, ferry trips, and lots of sight seeing.

Changing My Hair Color ONCE again

New hue, who’s this?

New hue, who’s this?

I’ve been all shades of red and pink, and blue has been on my mind. So you could say I was feeling blue. To be honest, it’s not a favorite of mine, even though I’ve received so many compliments telling me otherwise. I’m quite surprised my hair hasn’t fallen out with the amount of times I’ve bleached and redyed it, and I do plan on changing it very very soon. What color should I do in 2019?

Getting Baptized!

This was an amazing day. I originally wanted to get baptized at the age of 18, but the opportunity never came. Instead two years later, when the chance did come, I was thrilled to finally show my devotion to Christ publicly.

Walking The Brooklyn Bridge

I walked the bridge with some friends of mine and the weather was perfect. We also went on a Monday and not many people were out as yet, making it a great time to walk peacefully and enjoy the views.

We made a quick stop at Taiyaki NYC after we got through the bridge and oh my gosh this was amazing! It was really warm out and my ice cream ended up melting all over me but I can say, this stuff was good! If you happen to end up in this side of Brooklyn, you guys have to try this place out!

Christmas in South Carolina

Beach vibes

Beach vibes

Spent my Christmas in Myrtle Beach, SC with family and it was beautiful. The weather was perfect, although still too cold to dip my feet in the ocean. I’d just snap some photos instead.

Going To The Beach!

This may come to a surprise for some, but I haven’t visited the beach since I was 17. Yes, it took me three and a half years to return and as you can tell, I was happy. Fun Fact: this was the first time my best friend ever visited a beach, she’s a natural beach babe.

Most of my fun came during the warmer months of the year, but I’m still amazed to see that I did quite a bit of outdoor activities! Hopefully in 2019, there will be a lot more adventures to experience.
