April Favorites: 2020 (finally.)
Ya’ll.Don’t.Know.How.Long.I.Wanted.To.Make.This.Post
I’m a mess, I know..but hey, better’s later than never, am I right? Huh, huh.
Any-who, let’s get right on into it. Shall we?
Heritage Rosewater Rose Petals - I have used this brand in the past and loved it. I just started about 2 months ago because my skin loves anything rose related. After cleansing, I spray some all over my face and gently tap it in. I find it helps tones, smooth, lightly hydrate my skin, leaving a soft glow for days. The purity of this product helps boost the performance of everything else I’ll layer my skin with right after, it’s magical.
2. Complex Culture Press & Set Bronzer Brush - I received this brush in my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus sometime last year and I’ve been using it ever since. I normally use this brush for only bronzing but on their site it claims to be a two-in-one brush, to apply both setting and bronzing powders. I personally love it because I get the perfect application with every use. The brush itself is a bit dome shaped and almost a little tapered at the top to give a more precise application. A few swipes and I’m a sun kissed goddess.
3. Ardell Demi Wispies - GUYS, THESE LASHES. As a girl who inherited a lot of the Asian features from both parents, I struggle with eyelashes. Honestly, if my lashes grew upward and not straight out, that would be great but they don’t. Also, they don’t stay curled, even when I curl them and add mascara, somehow they tend to just slowly fall back down to sticking straight out. So falsies are one of those things in the makeup world that give me such joyyyy. I absolutely have been loving these lashes. They give me the length, fullness, and flirtation I need without looking like I’m about to take off and fly. ALSO THEY ARE USER FRIENDLY FOR GLASSES WEARERS, a.ka. they won’t hit your lens every time you blink.
4. NACIFIC Fresh Herb Origin Serum - I tried this serum after running out of my Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop. The very first time I tried this I went “ooooooo, okayyy.” I used to own the Nacific Fresh Herb Origin Toner and really enjoyed using it so I didn't mind giving this product a try as well. Just like their toner I find that this serum hydrates my skin leaving a radiant glow without feeling or looking greasy. And it helped minimize a lot of my pores that were more enlarged, calmed any irritation while leaving it refreshed. You can find this product through Soko Glam, but on Yes Style it’s cheaper (just saying).
5. Maelle Skin Therapy Facial Oil - If you haven’t realized from all of the previous favorites, I have very dry skin, very dry. So of course my last pick for April is another skincare product (if it counts I love skincare). I got this facial oil in my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus in March and haven't stopped using it since. Applying this after my rose water at night has me waking up to amazing skin. I find it’s still hydrated from the night before, leaving a beautiful afterglow and it almost seems like I'm wearing a BB cream or tinted moisturizer. Two drops is all you need for your entire face, so this stuff will last you forever, and it works well being layered on top of my other skin care products or if I want a more radiant finish in my foundation (I just add a drop into foundation I pump out and mix!). Once this finishes, I’ll definitely go out and repurchase because it’s made such a difference in my skincare and makeup routines.
