It's Okay To Not Be Okay

In a recent Instagram post, I started out my caption by saying, “It’s okay to not be okay.” I don’t know why I felt I NEEDED to say that, but I did. I continued on by writing, “Mistakes, faults, failures and pain only make up the strength in who you are….” You can read the full caption here.

I believe I wrote that to say, despite the recent election and the win for Joe Biden & Kamala Harris our fears are not over yet. We’re still in a pandemic, we still don’t know our future. However, we know who HOLDS the future. While writing my caption Proverbs 3:5-6 came into my heart, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” It’s a reminder that God is still working on us, this nation, for our good and His glory. Yes, we don’t know what will happen next, but when we pray and trust God for our future, and continually pray for Him to work on us as individuals so that we can be okay, there’s a difference. Nothing’s wrong with not feeling ‘okay’, at the end of the day, we’re only human but our relationship with Christ allows us to be stronger.

So don’t lose hope, don’t worry, God is taking care of you.
